Iran, Afghanistan and the Netherlands joint production ‘Lina’ premieres in Afghan theaters.
A Wednesday report quoted the media advisor of the flick directed by Ramin Rasouli as saying that the public screenings for ‘Lina’ have started from the beginning of the current week.
Iran actor Amir Aghaee took a lead role in the film with Afghan actress Hasiba Ebrahimi cast as the female lead. The latter shot to fame after starring in ‘A Few Cubic Meters of Love’ screened across Iranian cinemas.
In the opening of the film held in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, the manager of the Afghan Film Hall told media about 'Lina' that “the romantic … flick depicts the pain of migration”, adding, "Hasiba Ebrahimi managed to convey the same feeling to the audience.”
Rasouli who is an Afghan living in Holland made his feature directorial debut with ‘Lina’.
‘Lina’ is themed on migration with an aim to bring Iranian and Afghan people closer, a report says.
